A Ski Beat chalet holiday is all about socialising and bringing friends together (old & new), after an exhilarating day on the slopes. At Ski Beat, we are always looking to improve our service offering in line with this philosophy. Our successful wine packages have prompted demand for Artisanal Craft beers from the local region and you don't get more local than the two fantastic brands we have been lucky to partner up with.
Situated in the Savoyard town of Bourg Saint Maurice the doorstep of the world’s greatest ski resorts and both are next door to our new home in the French Alps, the Quartier des Alpins. This area is the former home of the 7th Battalion de Chasseur Alpins which is a stone's throw from the town centre of Bourg St Maurice. The ambitious development project of this area includes a business village which is now in its second stage of developmen. Ski Beat and the two Brasseries are amongst the first businesses to call the village home. These beers really do capture the beauty and flavours of the Alps.
Brasserie du Petit St Bernard
The Brasserie du Petit St Bernard (PSB) is named after the famous high altitude pass which crosses the border between the French Tarentaise valley and neighbouring Italy.
30 years ago Pat started his career as a chef and beer was his choice of lubrication to get through the working week. By 2014 his passion for craft beers along with his catering experience inspired him to start brewing his own happiness in a bottle.
Pat tells us “PSB beers are brewed using the finest tears of mother nature, filtered by the vast mountainous landscape, hops gathered from Europe, America and New Zealand, malts grown on the plains of France.”
Les Neves Micro Brewery
Louis Meulien founded Les Neves Micro Brewery in the spring of 2020 in Bourg Saint Maurice in Savoie, France. His passion for brewing great beers was born from a discovery of the brewing world in Quebec during his expatriation between 2009 and 2017.
Louis was originally from the Cévennes mountain range, but settled at the dawn of its thirty years in Savoie, as he fell in love with this Haute Tarentaise valley. He believes in agriculture that respects the land, countryside and its biodiversity and his brewery is impressively certified 100% biologique.
