Brighton-based Ski Beat has launched its 37th ski chalet programme with catered ski holidays to seven top resorts in the French Alps. Offering high mileage, high altitude skiing Ski Beat focuses on home from home, comfortable Alpine chalets, staffed by friendly and charismatic hosts.
Ski Beat is the UK’s leading package ski chalet company to France, with forty eight chalets featured in the 2023-2024 programme each with spacious seating areas, roaring log fires and many with panoramic balconies, saunas, hot tubs and access to indoor pools. Delicious home-cooked cuisine is provided with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menus available in all chalets.
On the eve of the new ski season, the company reports that over one third of their holidays have already been sold, with their most luxurious chalet, Tetras Lyre , a contemporary chalet with hot-tub, sleeping up to 12 guests, including four in a family suite, right on the slopes beneath Les Arcs, being the chalet most booked to date.
The company’s Laura Hazell says “our ski holiday prices are inclusive of travel, accommodation, cooked breakfast, home prepared afternoon tea and three course evening meals with wine or soft drinks, enabling our guests to choose their price point, knowing that the quality and service are built in. To add further to the comfort factor, we offer optional wine and craft beer upgrade packages, fondue hampers, and this season every chalet has been equipped with a state of the art Ruark R2 sound system. While all of our chalets are well appointed for altitude, comfort and convenience to the piste, the trend for the coming season is, very much towards the more luxurious chalets, and optional upgrades to optimise the holiday.”
This season, Ski Beat’s prices for a week’s skiing in a high altitude chalet, start from £698, inclusive of flights (Gatwick and Manchester), transfers, and a catered stay in a hosted chalet. New from Ski Beat for the coming season are four highly specced chalets, sleeping from six to fifteen guests.

The company, who have pioneered alternative catering for vegans, vegetarians and guests with dietary restrictions, are also introducing new cooked meat-free breakfast options this season, sourcing locally produced meat, and meat-free sausages, as well as offering guests a new vegan cheese-board, and alcohol alternative soft drinks with evening meals, as an alternative to complimentary wine with dinner. The offer is additional to the inclusive alternative menus for vegans, vegetarians and guests with allergies or dietary requirements, available in every chalet at no extra cost.
On the chalet hosts’ night off, Ski Beat guests are offered an alternative to dining out, with the option of a fondue hamper containing locally sourced cheese and meats, delivered to the chalet door and collected the next morning. To keep food miles low, ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, complimentary wine is from local producers, and a newly introduced craft beer upgrade featuring beers from local brewers is a popular choice for British guests, while red, white and rose wine, champagne and prosecco upgrades are another popular Ski Beat option.
With the risks of climate change ever present, 2023-24, is the first winter of Ski Beat’s three-year alliance with the pioneering environmental advocates, `Protect our Winters’ (POW). The alliance demonstrates a tangible commitment to finding ways in which guests and employees can take practical steps to achieve systematic solutions to environmental change, by addressing and combating the company’s carbon footprint in the mountains. The new alliance dovetails with Ski Beat’s existing practice of embracing Japanese `Lean’ operating techniques, to streamline activities and reduce human and material energy, waste and consumption.
Laura Hazell continued “We have included the highest standards of accommodation, service and quality, in our holiday prices, all with ATOL protection, because without doubt, this season more than ever before, British skiers are looking for quality and the best return for their holiday investment. Gone are the days of last minute bargains, the UK ski industry is far more about inclusive value and high standards, and our guests are reflecting this trend with their early bookings, and discerning choices.”
